Six Unanswered Goals Lead to Big Win over Perth

The Carleton Place Jr. Canadians won their 9th straight game on Saturday night with a 7-2 win over the Perth Blue Wings. The Canadians trailed 2-1 at the 1st intermission but rallied for 6 unanswered goals. Vincent Bujold-Roux picked up his 3rd win in as many days. Bujold-Roux has won 10 straight starts in net improving his record to 12-4 on the year.

“The guys that are being called up are playing fantastic for us,” said John Ollson. The Canadians had 3 U18 players in the lineup on Saturday with Josh Richmond and Devin Pimm both scoring goals. Patrick Larkin was also playing on Saturday which was his 3rd Jr. B game of the year.

“To win the last two games without are regular lineup is just huge for us,” Ollson added.

The Canadians top line accounted for 4 of the 7 goals. Reece Bolton (1G, 2A), Cameron Patton (1G, 3A), and Ryland Mosley (2G, 1A) all played in the Jr. A Canadians 3-1 win over Pembroke on Friday.

James Lister scored for the 2nd straight game to cap off a 4-goal second period for CPC.

Bujold-Roux made 20 saves in goal, him and teammate Jacob Lavergne have 12 wins each this season. “The goaltending has been fantastic all year, but Vinny has just been outstanding as of late. Jacob will play against Char-Lan and he will play well.”

Carleton Place host Char-Lan (9-21-1) on Tuesday night at 7:30.
