Jr Canadians Comeback to Win Game 3

All momentum has swung back in to the Carleton Place Jr. Canadians favor after a comeback win in Game 3 of their semi-final series. Ottawa were looking to take a commanding 3-0 lead in the series, and led 3-1 in the 3rd period. After a comeback to send the game to OT, Reece Bolton scored 13:10 into the second OT period to win the game for Carleton Place.

Bolton’s powerplay goal with 11:45 left in regulation brought Carleton Place to within a goal. With 3:31 left in the 3rd, Cameron Patton scored shorthanded for his second of the game to level the score at 3-3.

The top line of Bolton, Patton and Ryland Mosley has combined for 23 goals in 10 playoff games.

The Carleton Place powerplay went 2 for 5 in Game 3. They have the 3rd best powerplay in the playoffs at 25.8%, up from 18.8% in the regular season. Carleton Place also lead the league in playoff scoring with 4.5 goals per game.

Vincent Bujold-Roux made 41 saves for his 5th win of the playoffs.

The rest of the series will be an endurance test for both teams. Games 4 through 7 are scheduled over 5 days. Game 4 is set for Tuesday night at Earl Armstrong Arena with puck drop scheduled for 7:20. The teams will return to Carleton Place for Game 5 on Wednesday.
