The Carelton Place Canadians Tier 2 club out shot the Whitewater Kings 45-15 but the score was tied in the 3rd period. Gage Tremblay scored the equalizer with 8:33 to go in the 3rd period. The visiting Kings would fall back behind just 20 seconds later when Josh Mills found the back of net from the blue line.
Cameron Patton added a goal in the final minute and the Canadians won by a final score of 4-2.
Earlier goals came from Reece Bolton and Oliver Carrier. Bolton and line mate Ryland Mosley had 3 points each in the game. Earlier in the day, Ryland Mosley announced his commitment to the University of Alabama-Huntsville.
Mosley and Bolton both sit tied for 1st in the league in points with 11 each.
With the win the Canadians move to 4-3 and 3-0 at home. Picking up the win in net was Jacob Lavergne who made 13 saves. Lavergne moves to 4-0 with the victory.
“It feels great to have a 4-0 start,” said Lavergne. “I can’t be thinking about that going into games I always have to think I’m starting fresh. The guys are adapting really well and I think we show a lot of promise and things are going to get better as the season goes on.”
The Canadians are back at home Saturday to take on the Alexandria Glens (2-1). They will then travel to Ottawa on Sunday to take on the undefeated Ottawa Canadians (5-0).
