Canadians Tier 2 Win 5th Straight Game in 4-0 Shutout at Char-Lan

The Carleton Place Canadians Tier 2 team made the long road trip to Char-Lan on Tuesday. They defeated the Rebels 4-0 and picked up their 5th straight victory. Vincent Bujold-Roux made 34 saves for his 2nd win of the season and the first shutout in team history.

Three first period goals got the Canadians rolling. Ryland Mosley opened the scoring 4:19 into the game and that would stand as the game winner. Mosley then assisted on goals by Reece Bolton and Jordan Bruce.

James Lister added the 4th goal in the 2nd period.

CPC were out shot 34-22, including 23-6 in the 2nd period. They also only had 3 shots in the 3rd period.

Bujold-Roux improved to 2-3 on the season. He has given up just 1 goal in his last 2 starts. His goals against average improves to 3.22 and his save percentage now sits at .912.

Reece Bolton was named CCHL2 player of the Month (September) on Tuesday. He leads the league with 13 goals and is tied for the league lead with 21 points. The 17 year old was also named top prospect on the CCHLs prospect report. Bolton was drafted 32nd overall by the Kitchener Rangers in the 2017 OHL Under-18 draft.

The Canadians start the first of three games in four days on Friday night. They visit Arnprior Friday before heading to Athens on Sunday. They will then return home on Monday to host Winchester.
