Canadians return to ice with Summer Camp

It’s a slight return to familiar settings for the Carleton Place Canadians organization as we will be hosting our Summer Camp for the 2020-21 season July 24-26 at the Beckwith Arena.

Players who will be participating in the camp have received their schedules and team assignments for the weekend. The team and staff at the Beckwith Arena will be following a litany of protocols to ensure the safety of all those who will be participating in the weekend, and they are as follows:

The doors will ONLY BE OPEN 20 minutes before your scheduled ice time. You will sign in quickly with masks and practice social distancing will signing.

Once signed in you will then proceed directly to the change rooms. You may not leave the change rooms at any time before the game until an official escorts you to the ice.

The Lobby will be open only for entering and exiting the Arena Building. Masks must be worn at all times other than on the ice.

Trainers & equipment manager will be present on site all weekend.. All players must provide their own water bottles and bench towels for all games. 

Dressing rooms will be open to dress in but must be vacated within 10 minutes of leaving the ice.

 

NO spectators are permitted inside the facility for any games during the weekend.

 

Please note that Face Covering or Masks will be mandatory as per the Health Unit in all public spaces effective July 7th, 2020.

 

Members of the public are permitted the temporary removal of a mask where necessary for the purpose of:

·        while actively engaging in an athletic or fitness activity including water-based activities.

 

 If you have any of the following symptoms of COVID-19:

• fever

• new onset of cough

• chills

• unexplained fatigue

• headache

• sore throat

• runny nose

• stuffy or congested nose

• lost sense of taste or smell

• difficulty breathing

• difficulty swallowing

• pink eye

• digestive issues (nausea/vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain), or

• for young children and infants: sluggishness or lack of appetite

 

OR you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 or someone who has developed new respiratory symptoms, please delay your visit AND contact either your health care provider, Telehealth Ontario (1-866-797-0000), or visit an Assessment Centre for testing.
