Canadians add new strength and conditioning coach

The Carleton Place Canadians announce Zach Yantha will be the new strength and conditioning coach for the organization.
Yantha currently holds the position of assistant performance coach with the University of Ottawa Gee-Gees, where he worked alongside owner Brent Sullivan for the past four seasons.
“Adding Zach was an incredibly important step that I wanted to take,” Sullivan said. “I’ve had the chance to work with him and see the impact he’s had off the ice with athletes and the way it translates to on-ice success. He’s a progressive and forward-thinking individual who is always wanting to learn and get better. Those are the type of people I want to surround our athletes with.”
In his position with the University of Ottawa, Yantha is the lead strength coach for the men’s and women’s hockey programs as well as the Varsity Swimming programs. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Kinetics along with a Master’s Degree in Human Kinetics from the University of Ottawa. He is also a member of the NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association).
Yantha is a proud Ottawa Valley native, born and raised in Round Lake Centre, Ont.
