Bogart Cup Finals start Friday

For a third consecutive season, the Carleton Place Canadians and the Ottawa Jr. Senators will face each other for the Bogart Cup and the CCHL playoff title.

The series will get started on Fri., Apr. 13 at 7:45 p.m. at the Carleton Place Arena with the rest of the series schedule to be announced at a later date.

The Canadians have won each of the last two series against Ottawa – a 4-3 series win in 2016 and a 4-1 series win in 2017 – and have won a total of four consecutive Bogart Cups.

In the 2017-18 season, the two teams met five times and Carleton Place won the season series 4-1, most recently a 2-1 over-time victory back on Feb. 25 in Carleton Place.

Ottawa is the host team for the 2018 Fred Page Cup and with the Jr. Senators making the CCHL Finals, that means both Ottawa and Carleton Place will have their seasons continue after this series, regardless of who wins.

The Fred Page Cup runs May 2-6 at the Jim Durrell Complex.
